Application Process to Study in United Kingdom

There are three ways available for Bangladeshi students to apply to a UK university. The options are applying through HT Global Consultancy, applying directly to the university, or applying through UCAS. To apply via HT Global, – CLICK HERE. To apply directly to the university or UCAS, please follow the below steps:

• Compare the universities and choose several. The reason for multiple selections is that, if your application is rejected by one university, there is no risk in waiting for the next intake.
• Go to the chosen universities’ websites or the UCAS website. And create an account.
• Log in to your account and fill out every piece of information—personal, academic, financial, etc.
• Please note that, depending on university requirements, you may need to send hard copies of the documents, attested or verified by a notary public. If required, send the documents to the university via FedEx or UPS.
• The required documents are a passport copy, certificates and transcripts, the IELTS/TOFEL report, recommendation letters, a statement of purpose, a CV, financial documents, etc.
• Please note that there is an application fee. For UCAS: £22.50 for a single course and £27 for multiple courses. If you are applying directly to the university, it varies from university to university.
• Follow up with the respective entity.
• Upon receiving the acceptance letter, go for a TB (tuberculosis) test.
• Apply for the visa.
• Upon getting a visa, arrange the travel.

Visa Application Process

• Prepare the following documents: an acceptance letter, a passport with a minimum of six-month validity, a NID or birth certificate, two recent photos, proof of ability to bear the associated costs, a TB (tuberculosis) test report, etc.
• Pay the student visa application fee of £363. Please note that you also have to pay £490 to extend the student visa (for switching as well).
• Go to the GOV.UK website and fill out the application form.
• Pay the visa application fees by using an international credit card or via bank transfer.
• Upon application completion, you will be directed to VFS Global’s website to make an appointment for providing biometric data. Please note that you can submit the documents online from your home or at a visa application center.
• After receiving the appointment time, go to the visa application center (VFS Global) on time.
• Provide biometric details and submit your passport along with all the documents.
• Track your application status by sending a "code" SMS to the given number (on the receipt). Also, they will inform you when the passport is ready to be collected.
• Collect the passport with the visa stamp.
